Birmingham Bus Route Diverted Due to Unplanned Road Works in Erdington
A Birmingham bus route has been diverted due to unplanned road works affecting the Erdington area. National Express West Midlands has confirmed that its 11C service is no longer using its usual stops on Marsh Hill as a result of these unexpected disruptions.
A spokesperson for the transport provider detailed the new route, stating that the service will now travel via Brookvale Road, The Ridgeway, College Road, Perry Common Road, Streetly Road, and Reservoir Road before resuming its normal line of route. This temporary diversion aims to minimise delays and ensure passenger safety during the road works.
Birmingham City Council has been contacted for further comment on the nature and duration of the unplanned road works. The council's response is awaited to provide additional clarity for commuters and residents impacted by these changes.
Passengers are advised to check for updates from National Express West Midlands regarding any further adjustments to the 11C service. The diversion highlights ongoing challenges in maintaining reliable public transport amidst unforeseen infrastructure issues in the city.
