Child Assessed After Two-Car Crash in Oldbury

A child was assessed by medics following a two-car crash in Oldbury on Monday morning. Emergency services were called to the scene at the junction of Wolverhampton Road and Bleakhouse Road just before 8:30 am on June 8.

The youngster, a passenger in one of the vehicles, sustained minor injuries. However, she did not require hospital treatment and was discharged at the scene after receiving self-care advice.

Ambulance Service Response

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars at the junction of Wolverhampton Road and Bleakhouse Road at 8:26 am. We sent an ambulance to the scene. On arrival, crews found one patient, a child who was a passenger, who they assessed for minor injuries, before she was discharged at the scene with self-care advice."

Traffic Disruption

In the aftermath of the collision, the road was partially blocked. Motorists were warned to expect delays as there was no entry into Bleakhouse Road from Wolverhampton Road. The disruption had cleared by 10 am.
