Fed-Up Forklift Driver Moves Badly Parked Car Blocking Lorry in Birmingham
Forklift driver moves parked car blocking lorry in Birmingham

In a dramatic display of impatience with inconsiderate parking, a forklift truck operator in Birmingham took direct action to remove a vehicle blocking a delivery lorry's path.

Forklift Operator Loses Patience

The incident occurred on Studley Street in the Sparkbrook area of Birmingham. A Volkswagen Tiguan SUV had been left parked in a no-parking zone, completely obstructing the entrance to a yard where a delivery lorry needed to access.

Witness Ahmed Hussain, 28, who was waiting for a customer for his Digbeth-based firm Haven Autocare, observed the entire event. He reported that the car's owner was absent for a considerable time, and the vehicle had likely been parked there since the early morning.

Direct Action Clears the Path

With the delivery lorry unable to proceed and patience evidently exhausted, a forklift operator from a nearby business intervened. Video footage shows the forklift carefully lifting the chassis of the Volkswagen and shifting it out of the roadway.

The SUV was safely placed further down the road, clearing the obstruction. Ahmed Hussain stated he believed the forklift was from the business that was expecting the delivery, which was reportedly carrying food or clothing items for local shops.

Delivery Resumed After Unconventional Solution

Once the car was relocated, the lorry was finally able to turn into the yard and complete its drop-off. The unconventional solution highlights the frustrations caused by illegal and obstructive parking, particularly for essential delivery services and local businesses.

While the forklift driver's methods were unorthodox, they successfully resolved a logistical standstill on a Birmingham street, ensuring vital goods could reach their destination.
