Early Morning Collision on Pershore Road

A pedestrian was taken to hospital following a collision with a car on Pershore Road in Selly Oak during the early hours of this morning. The incident occurred at approximately 1.40am on Thursday, November 13.

Police Investigation Underway

West Midlands Police confirmed they were initially called due to concerns for a man who was reportedly walking in the road. While officers were on their way to the scene, a car struck the man.

The pedestrian, a man aged in his 40s, sustained injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their ongoing enquiries.
