E.ON Next Announces Price Reduction on Fixed Tariff, Automatic Savings for Customers

E.ON Next has implemented a significant repricing of its Next Fixed 15-month tariff, offering customers enhanced control and peace of mind during a period of volatile wholesale energy markets. The company, which competes with major providers such as British Gas, OVO, EDF, and Octopus, has confirmed that its Next Fixed 15m v13 tariff will now cost £1,923 for a typical household using both gas and electricity, down from the previous price of £1,971.

Automatic Bill Reductions from April 1

Starting April 1, E.ON Next customers on fixed or variable tariffs will automatically see their energy bills decrease. This change follows the company's commitment to pass on every penny of savings announced by the Labour Party government last Autumn. As a result, the Next Fixed 15m v13 tariff will be further reduced to £1,791 for a typical dual-fuel household, providing additional savings of £132.

The tariff includes a £50 per fuel exit fee, and all prices and comparisons are based on Ofgem's definitions of medium use typical domestic consumption values, which are 2,700 kWh for electricity and 11,500 kWh for gas. These figures are correct at the time of issue and reflect an average dual fuel bill.

Commitment to Customer Empowerment and Sustainability

E.ON Next emphasized its dedication to offering innovative energy solutions that empower customers while contributing to a sustainable future. With a strong focus on affordability and customer satisfaction, the company provides a range of products and services tailored to meet the evolving needs of households across the United Kingdom.

Customers can benefit from peace of mind and potential savings of £100 based on average consumption. Additionally, there are no fees for switching to another E.ON Next tariff if prices drop further. The Next Pledge tariff guarantees that energy prices will remain below the Ofgem price cap, ensuring savings of £100 based on average annual consumption.

E.ON Next stated, "With our fixed tariffs, you'll be safe in the knowledge of what energy price you're paying for the duration of your contract." This move aims to provide stability and confidence to consumers amidst fluctuating market conditions.
