Costa Coffee has kicked off the new year with a major menu refresh, introducing a host of limited-edition drinks and food items designed to lift spirits during the post-festive season. The nationwide rollout, which began on January 8, 2026, aims to provide customers with comforting and enjoyable treats throughout the month.
A Sip of Something New: The Drinks Line-Up
The centrepiece of the launch is a brand-new Matcha Latte range, now available in all UK stores. Coffee lovers can choose between a Hot Matcha Latte and an Iced Matcha Latte, both of which can be fully customised with various milk alternatives and syrups. A more adventurous option is the Strawberry Coconut Iced Matcha Latte, which combines creamy coconut with a sweet strawberry sauce.
By popular demand, the Spanish Latte makes a comeback, joined this year by the new Spanish Caramelo Latte. Costa describes this as a caramel-infused twist on the original favourite. For those wanting a barista-style experience at home, the chain has also released new Instant Barista Creations Iced Latte sachets in two flavours: a classic Iced Latte and an Iced Hazelnut Crème.
Warming Bites and Healthier Snacks
On the food front, Costa is introducing several new savoury options to provide a hearty meal. The headline grabber is the new Onion Bhaji Wrap, alongside a Tomato & Basil Soup and a Tomato & Mature Cheddar Croissant. For a classic British comfort food fix, an All-Day Breakfast Toastie has also been added to the menu.
For those with a sweet tooth or seeking a lighter bite, a range of new snacks has arrived. These include:
- Banana & Chocolate Muffin
- Orange & Raspberry Victoria Sponge
- Berry Crumble Slice
- Iced Gingerbread Biscuits
Catering to the health-conscious, Costa is expanding its treats line with two new options: a Fruit & Nut Mix and packs of Dried Mango.
Limited Availability and Retail Launch
Costa has emphasised that all these new menu items are available for a limited time only, urging customers to try them soon before they disappear. The new instant latte sachets will have a separate retail launch. They will first appear in Tesco stores from Monday, January 19, followed by a launch in Iceland stores from February.
Nishant Bhatia, Global Food and Beverage Innovation Director at Costa Coffee, commented on the thinking behind the menu. "January is about finding small moments of comfort and enjoyment, and that was front of mind when creating this menu," he said. He highlighted the new matcha range as a "feel-good ritual" and described the overall offering as a series of treats designed to brighten the day.
