McDonald's King's Norton Reopens After Major 'Future' Redesign
McDonald's King's Norton reopens after redesign

The popular McDonald's restaurant located on Parson's Hill in the Birmingham suburb of King's Norton has officially reopened its doors to the public.

This follows the completion of a significant 'Convenience of the Future' redesign, a major investment spearheaded by the local franchisee, Sarah McLean.

What's New Inside the Revamped Restaurant?

The comprehensive overhaul focuses on integrating the latest technology with a new physical layout to create a more seamless and enjoyable visit for every customer. The changes are designed to cater to the evolving ways people enjoy their meals, whether they are dining in, using the Drive Thru, or ordering via delivery apps.

Key innovations introduced in the King's Norton branch include:

  • A redesigned front counter with specific areas for different ordering channels.
  • A dedicated courier waiting area and separate entrance to improve service for delivery drivers.
  • A new kitchen design featuring a larger order assembly area and dedicated spaces for preparing dine-in orders.
  • Improved break spaces and redesigned crew rooms for the restaurant team.

Externally, customers can now enjoy a brand-new outdoor seating area alongside a more contemporary dining space inside.

A Boost for Customers and Crew Alike

Sarah McLean, who owns and operates 25 McDonald's restaurants across the West Midlands, expressed her pride in reinvesting in the King's Norton community. She stated that the fresh look and strategic changes will benefit everyone.

"We now have a more contemporary dining area, a brand-new outdoor seating area, and separate facilities for our dine-in customers and our couriers – leading to a better experience for everyone," McLean said. "It's exciting to see the fresh new look and feel of our King's Norton restaurant and I'm confident the changes will not only benefit our customers but also our fantastic restaurant team."

While the traditional walk-in counter and Drive Thru remain fundamental to the McDonald's experience, this redesign smartly integrates digital sales channels and the McDonald's App. The smarter use of internal space is set to significantly enhance the overall dine-in experience for families and individuals in King's Norton.

The restaurant reopened to the public on 13th November 2025, marking a new chapter for this well-established local eatery.
