Birmingham's Weoley Castle Pub Reopens After Major Six-Figure Revamp
Weoley Castle Pub Reopens Following Six-Figure Investment

The Weoley Castle, a beloved community pub on Shenley Lane in Birmingham, has triumphantly reopened its doors following a substantial six-figure investment.

The extensive refurbishment, completed under the Craft Union Pub Company, has not only given the local a fresh new look but has also boosted the area's economy by creating five new jobs.

A Complete Interior Transformation

Inside, patrons will find a completely revitalised space. The old brick bar has been demolished and replaced with a modernised traditional bar, designed to improve service speed and efficiency.

Brand-new flooring runs throughout the premises, complemented by a softer, warmer décor that creates a more inviting atmosphere for the community to gather.

New Outdoor Space and Premium Sports Viewing

The improvements extend outside, where new festoon lighting and outdoor benches provide a perfect setting for enjoying a fresh-air pint.

For sports fans, the pub is now a premier destination, having been kitted out with new Sky Q boxes. This upgrade means guests can watch live action from Sky, Sky Sports+, TNT Sports, and even Amazon Prime.

To complement the viewing experience, two new dartboards have been installed alongside the existing pool table, offering more ways to challenge friends on match day.

Great-Value Drinks and Lively Entertainment

The bar now boasts a fantastic selection of beers, ciders, and wine at some of the most competitive prices in Birmingham, with pints of John Smith's starting from just £2.80.

The pub also caters to all preferences with an extensive range of no and low-alcohol beverages.

Keeping the community entertained, The Weoley Castle will host weekly live music and DJs. Its extended opening hours until 12:30am on Fridays and Saturdays ensure it remains a relaxing spot by day and a vibrant weekend hotspot by night.

Kayleigh Astley, the new Operator of The Weoley Castle, shared her excitement: "We’re so excited to welcome back both new and familiar faces to the refurbished Weoley Castle, where I cannot wait to get started as the new operator!"

"Our goal is to offer the best pub sports experience in the area, and we can’t wait to see guests enjoying all the new features we’ve been working hard on behind the scenes, my personal favourite is the dartboard!" she added.

Astley confirmed that with a packed events schedule and great-value drinks, the investment has successfully created a warmer, more inviting space for the entire community to enjoy.
