McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands is marking a significant milestone this month as it celebrates its fifth anniversary with the exciting announcement of a new store opening. The shopping village, located in Cannock just off Eastern Way and a 30-minute drive from Birmingham, will welcome British modern heritage brand Belstaff to its lineup.
Fifth Anniversary Celebrations
The outlet officially opened to customers on April 12, 2021, after receiving planning permission in 2016. Over the past five years, it has welcomed more than 15 million guests and established itself as a premier shopping destination in the West Midlands.
New Belstaff Store Details
Belstaff, founded in Stoke-on-Trent, is set to open a new 1,957 square foot store at the centre this month, positioned next door to Polo Ralph Lauren. While an exact opening date has not yet been announced, the store will offer an extensive range of both women's and menswear.
A spokesman for McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands expressed enthusiasm about the addition: "Coming soon to West Midlands Designer Outlet, Belstaff is the essential outfitter for the modern adventurer. For close to a century, it has been making clothes for those who want to push the limits."
Brand Heritage and Offerings
The spokesman highlighted Belstaff's rich history: "With a heritage of technical innovation rooted in the north of England, the company started life by kitting out some of the most daring people the world has seen, from aviator Amy Johnson to adventurer T.E. Lawrence and revolutionary Che Guevara. The jackets they wore are still made by Belstaff today."
He added: "Technically excellent, beautifully crafted British design and know-how lies at the heart of Belstaff, and pieces range from robust, high-performance wear for the most exacting of conditions, to perfectly judged pieces for more everyday adventures."
Existing Retail Environment
Since its opening, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands has been home to prominent brands such as Coach, Nike, BOSS, Levi's, and Tommy Hilfiger. The outlet initially launched with a diverse array of retailers including Fred Perry, Calvin Klein, Ted Baker, Radley, Le Creuset, and Yankee Candle.
Operating Hours
The shopping centre maintains consistent opening hours to accommodate visitors:
- Monday to Friday: 10am to 8pm
- Saturdays: 9am to 8pm
- Sundays: 10am to 6pm
This new store opening not only enhances the shopping experience for visitors but also underscores the outlet's ongoing growth and appeal as it enters its sixth year of operation.
