Sky has kicked off its January sale with significant price reductions on popular television and broadband packages, with the company claiming some offers are at their 'lowest price' ever. In a major push for new customers, Sky is also offering to pay up to £300 to cover early termination charges for those switching from their current provider.
Top TV and Broadband Bundle Deals
One of the standout promotions sees the return of a Black Friday price for the Sky Stream package. The Sky Stream with Ultimate TV and 500Mbps Fibre Broadband is now priced at £39 per month, a saving of £120 as it was previously £44. This bundle provides access to more than 140 channels and includes a Netflix subscription.
For those seeking a more streamlined option, the Essential TV and Full Fibre 300 package costs £35 per month. Customers can then choose to add Sky Sports for a reduced £20 per month (down from £33) or Sky Cinema for £10 (down from £16). A key feature of Sky Stream is that it operates over WiFi on any television, eliminating the need for a satellite dish or aerial.
Subsidy for Switching Providers
To further incentivise new sign-ups, Sky is providing financial assistance to cover the cost of leaving a current contract. The company will pay up to £100 for customers switching to Sky TV, up to £200 for those moving to Sky Broadband, and up to £300 for households taking out both services together.
Discounts on Sky Glass Air Smart TVs
The January promotion extends beyond service bundles to hardware. Customers have the chance to get up to 25% off a Sky Glass Air smart TV. Prices now start at £225 for the 43-inch model (reduced from £309), with the option to spread the cost interest-free over 48 months at £4.25 per month. The 65-inch model is available for £481 (was £649) or £9.50 per month over 48 months.
Launched in June, the Sky Glass Air has Sky TV and streaming apps integrated directly into the set. It features a 4K HDR Quantum Dot screen and a Dolby Audio speaker system. It is important to note that eligibility for these TV offers requires signing up for a Sky TV subscription, and there is a £20 upfront fee.
How Competing Offers Compare
Elsewhere in the market, Virgin Media is offering an Entertainment bundle with 362Mbps broadband for £34.99 per month, which comes with over 200 channels and Netflix, though it does not include Sky Atlantic.
For viewers who prefer a more flexible, contract-free approach, a NOW Entertainment subscription is available on a 12-month saver plan for £4.99 per month (down from £9.99), offering access to TV shows. The plan that includes movies is priced at £11.98 per month (reduced from £19.99).
