Tesco Clubcard Boost: Earn Double Points on Gift Cards & Up to £633 Value
Tesco Clubcard change offers shoppers chance to earn £633

Tesco is rolling out a significant enhancement to its popular Clubcard loyalty scheme, offering shoppers a timely opportunity to boost their Christmas budgets. From Monday, a key change will allow members to earn double points on specific purchases, potentially adding hundreds of pounds in value.

Double Points on Gift Card Purchases

The headline change, active from Monday, sees Tesco offering two Clubcard points for every £1 spent on gift cards, instead of the standard one point. This promotion is designed to help customers with their festive shopping while rewarding them for their spend.

Ban Mahsoub, partnerships director at Tesco Insurance and Money Services, commented on the offer. "We all know the challenge of finding the perfect Christmas gift," he said. "With two points for every £1 spent on gift cards, you can be confident you’re giving something they’ll love, and you’ll get a little something back for yourself, too. It’s a win-win."

How to Maximise Your Clubcard Points Value

While every 100 Clubcard points is worth £1 in standard vouchers, the real value is unlocked when redeeming with Tesco's reward partners, where the value can double. The new gift card promotion is just one of several ways savvy shoppers can accumulate points worth up to £633.

One of the most substantial offers involves purchasing a new Vauxhall car. By providing your Clubcard number at the point of purchase at a participating Vauxhall retailer, you can earn a massive £500 worth of points. This is a limited-time deal, ending on 28 February 2026.

Other notable ways to earn points include:

  • Signing up for a Pod Point home EV charger with a fixed monthly cost that includes up to 7,500 miles of charging. This deal yields 2,500 Tesco Clubcard points (worth £25, or £50 with reward partners).
  • Earning one point for every pound spent with parcel delivery service Evri.
  • Gaining £3 in points by switching to Esso for fuel purchases.
  • Accessing other perks through partners like Ovo Energy.

A Competitive Edge for the Festive Season

This strategic move by Tesco, which competes with rivals like Lidl, Asda, Morrisons, and Sainsbury's, is clearly timed for the peak Christmas shopping period. It encourages spending within its ecosystem while providing tangible added value to its loyalty scheme members.

The combination of double points on versatile gift cards and high-value partner offers presents a compelling opportunity for households to offset festive costs. Shoppers are advised to review the terms of each offer and act before the deadlines to secure the maximum benefit from their Clubcard membership this winter.
