The Bradbury Foundation has injected £4,000 into community projects across Lincolnshire and East Riding, supporting four inspirational organisations that strengthen local communities through specialised services.
Creating Inclusive Christmas Magic
C.H.A.S.E (Create Hope and Safe Environments) received £1,000 to develop their Magic Winter Wonderland, an inclusive Christmas experience specifically designed for children and young adults with additional needs. The community charity provides a warm, welcoming hub offering sensory sessions for children and daytime provisions for young adults requiring structured support.
Jamie Ward, Director at C.H.A.S.E, expressed their gratitude: "We're so honoured to be chosen to receive a grant of £1,000. Creating this Christmas experience will be so uplifting for those who find festive experiences very challenging."
Supporting Mental Health Through Angling
Angle for the Community will use their grant to replace worn waterproof clothing, refresh essential equipment and renew vital licences. The organisation uses the calming environment of angling to support young people at risk of anti-social behaviour and adults facing mental health challenges or addiction.
Their approach recognises that spending time outdoors with skilled volunteers can provide the stability and sense of belonging many participants desperately need.
Equestrian Therapy and Domestic Abuse Support
Cleethorpes and Grimsby Riding for the Disabled provides equestrian activities for children and adults with physical or learning difficulties, helping participants build strength, improve coordination and develop emotional wellbeing through interaction with trained horses.
The grant will contribute to maintaining the health of their horses, ensuring they can continue offering sessions that boost confidence and joy among local people who rely on their specialist services.
EDAN Lincs, supporting individuals and families affected by domestic abuse, will use their £1,000 grant for Mission Christmas. This initiative ensures every child in refuge receives at least one meaningful gift from their Christmas list, providing comfort and reassurance during a period that often brings emotional strain and financial worry.
Phil George, Trustee of The Bradbury Foundation, commented: "These four organisations represent everything our Foundation stands for. They are dedicated, compassionate and absolutely committed to strengthening their communities. We are proud to play a small part in helping them continue their valuable work."
The Foundation remains focused on supporting local groups in Lincolnshire and East Riding whose work delivers meaningful change, proving that even modest grants can unlock projects bringing joy and stability to people who might otherwise feel overlooked.
