Dogs Trust Cardiff Christmas Fair Returns on December 7
Dogs Trust Cardiff Christmas Fair: Festive Fun

The team at Dogs Trust Cardiff is getting into the festive spirit as they prepare for their much-loved annual Christmas Fair. Both humans and their canine companions are encouraged to join the festive fun at the rehoming centre.

A Day of Festive Fun for All

On Sunday, December 7, from 11am to 2pm, the doors at Dogs Trust Cardiff will swing open for a community celebration. Visitors can look forward to a variety of stalls selling gifts for both two and four-legged friends. The event will also feature a tombola, raffles, games, and a café stocked with festive treats.

Entry is completely free, and guests can participate in unique festive activities designed for dogs. These include 'Sniffari enrichment' and the 'Wheel of Pawtune'. A major highlight promises to be the chance to have a photo taken with the special guest, Santa Paws himself.

Supporting a Pawsome Cause

Kim Davies, manager at Dogs Trust Cardiff, said: "Our Christmas Fair is a great way to get into the festive spirit and welcome our wonderful supporters and their four-legged friends to Dogs Trust Cardiff for a fun-filled day!"

She emphasised that the event is a wonderful way to raise essential funds, with all money raised going directly to support the vital work the charity does for dogs in need throughout the year. The centre is currently seeking donations for its tombola and raffle, such as chocolates, gift sets, and new dog toys.

Important Information for Dog Owners

While the team hopes to see many dogs, especially former residents, Kim Davies added a note of caution: "It’s always very busy and noisy at the Christmas Fair, so while we hope lots of dogs come along, we would ask people only to bring their dogs if they are sure they will thoroughly enjoy it."

She also reassured that although not every dog will be in a home this Christmas, the dogs in their care will still benefit from the love and commitment of the rehoming centre staff.

Parking is free on the day, and anyone able to help with donations can send or drop them off at Dogs Trust Cardiff, Nettlefold Road, Cardiff, CF24 5JQ.
