A Leicestershire construction support group has unveiled a vibrant new way to support children and young people across the East Midlands. True Group has added a colourful 8-tonne excavator to its fleet, designed to raise funds and awareness for Rainbows Hospice. The machine features a bespoke dot design and prominently displays the charity’s branding and logo.
A percentage of the money earned each time the excavator is hired will be donated directly to the hospice. This ensures that every job the excavator completes helps provide care for families facing difficult circumstances. Rainbows Hospice offers vital support to youngsters with life-limiting conditions at its hospice, in hospitals, and in their own homes.
The eye-catching design and installation were provided free of charge by Poly Graphics Ltd to support the project. Hannah Meisuria from Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People said: “Support from businesses like True Group makes a real difference to the children and families we care for. This initiative not only helps raise vital funds but also increases awareness of our work within the local community and construction industry. We’re grateful for their continued support.”
The project reflects a commitment from the company to give back to the communities where they work. By using day-to-day building activities, the group hopes to create a lasting positive impact in the region. Craig Flowers from True Group said: “We wanted to create something that delivers real, ongoing support rather than a one-off donation. This excavator allows us to contribute to Rainbows Children’s Hospice every time it goes out on hire. The colourful design also helps raise awareness on site and starts conversations about the incredible work the charity does for children and their families.”
It is hoped that the brightly wrapped machine will turn heads on building sites and across social media. The initiative aims to show how the construction industry can play a meaningful role in supporting local causes. True Group hopes its idea will inspire other businesses to find creative ways to help charities in their own areas.
