Katie Price has issued an urgent plea to her followers as she desperately searches for her missing husband, who she claims was kidnapped in Dubai. In a video shared on YouTube, the former glamour model insisted that Lee Andrews is missing and implored fans to help locate him, while condemning those who questioned whether this was a stunt as 'disgusting'.
Katie's Emotional Appeal
In the footage, Katie faced the camera and opened by discussing how difficult she is finding the situation. She said: 'Hey everyone, I'm here to do an update about Lee. This is a really difficult time for me at the moment. It's been five days since I've heard anything from Lee. None of his family have heard anything, his dad is out in Dubai and he's heard nothing.'
She revealed that they had reported Lee as missing to the British Embassy, and the Foreign Office have confirmed they are 'supporting the family of a British man'. Katie added that her 'anxiety levels are sky high'. She then implored fans for assistance: 'If there's anyone in Dubai or you know anyone in Dubai and you spot him or see him... I don't know because I don't know where he is. Because the last thing I know, his hands were tied and he had a hood over his head and he was in the back of a van.'
Gratitude and Defiance
The star also expressed gratitude towards those who had shown support, including fans, family, and friends. 'All I can do is look after myself and my head and get on with each day as I can,' she said. 'Because I still have to get on with life. I want to thank everyone for their kind messages. I'm a tough girl. I'm a survivor but I've never been in a situation like this.'
She continued: 'No one needs to worry about me, I always keep my head mind body and soul in check as I have done for a long time but it's just the unknown and the anxiety because I just don't know where he is. It is distressing.'
Denying Publicity Stunt Claims
Katie seized the moment to tackle persistent speculation, telling followers: 'I know there's lots of things flying about,' before asserting that she 'knows what's going on'. She said: 'You're hearing it from me, I know what's going on and that's who you have to listen to. This isn't a game. This is real life.'
The mum-of-five hit back at those who suggested this could be a 'publicity stunt' and implied she might have been involved, fuming: 'Everyone who is trying to speculate, take the p*ss and make jokes - this isn't a scandal, it's something that's really happening and there are real feelings involved. It could be going on for weeks, months, years, forever.'
She continued: 'This is not a publicity stunt this is real, and anyone who thinks I am a part of it is disgusting.' Becoming increasingly agitated, she stated: 'I'm really upset and distressed that people think I'm in on it. Are you joking? Come on, give me some credit why would I do that?'
Dubai Safety and Final Plea
During the distressing period, Katie commended Dubai and described the region as 'safer than England', despite her husband's alleged kidnapping. 'I know Dubai is a safe place. Every time I've gone I feel safe there. You don't hear about crimes. I regard Dubai as a lot safer than England, I love Dubai.'
Ultimately, she issued her appeal for assistance and information to fans once more: 'I am now relying on the media to help me know what's happened. If someone knows where he is, please come to me or the newspapers to help me find him. Please help me find him.'
Timeline of Events
Lee has reportedly been unaccounted for since May 14. He was understood to be heading to England for a Good Morning Britain appearance on May 12, but failed to attend the TV programme and indicated he was at Muscat Airport attempting to secure a flight to the UK. The following day, Katie maintained that Lee was 'at the airport going through the border control to get his exit stamp'. Katie claims she established her final contact with Lee at 10.03pm. Since May 14, Katie has stated that she has been unable to make contact with Lee, and on May 17, she confirmed that an official missing person's report had been submitted.
A source said: 'Lee is officially a missing person now. Katie is in constant contact with his family and is desperately worried.'
