A Milton Keynes animal rescue and wellbeing centre dedicated to creating happy lives for animals and positive experiences for people has been given a significant financial boost.
Building Firm's Community Support
Persimmon Homes Midlands has donated £1,000 to Curly Tails, based in Newton Longville, as part of its ongoing Community Champions initiative. The scheme is designed to support local groups and causes in areas where the national housebuilder operates.
Claire Dearsley, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes Midlands, emphasised the company's commitment to leaving a positive legacy. "What we do is about much more than just building homes," she said. "We're always delighted to lend a hand to local groups to boost their ongoing initiatives or contribute to causes that mean a lot to them."
A Compassionate Space for All
Founded in Milton Keynes in March 2016 and becoming a registered charity in February 2017, Curly Tails has established itself as a vital compassionate space where humans and animals thrive together.
The charity's unique model provides:
- Interactive visits and nurture sessions.
- Educational school trips.
- One-to-one support for individuals.
Through these activities, it helps people of all ages and abilities to improve their confidence, wellbeing, and sense of belonging. Simultaneously, the charity ensures its rescued animals live in safety and happiness.
Funding for Future Work
Jane Scott, founder of Curly Tails, expressed her delight at the donation from the housebuilder. "We're absolutely delighted by this kind donation from Persimmon Homes," she stated.
"Our goal has always been to provide positive experiences for local people at the same time as providing happy lives for rescued animals. This donation will enable us to continue the work that we do," Scott added.
Claire Dearsley concluded, "It's great to be able to provide Curly Tails with this donation which will help them continue to provide an important service to the local community." The £1,000 grant will directly support the charity's dual mission of animal welfare and human wellbeing in the Milton Keynes area.
