St Clare Hospice's Paws for a Cause Dog Walk Returns for Second Year
Paws for a Cause Dog Walk Returns to Support Hospice Care

St Clare Hospice's Paws for a Cause Returns for Second Annual Edition

St Clare Hospice's immensely popular virtual dog walking challenge, Paws for a Cause, is making a welcome return for its second year this March. The event invites local dog walkers across Essex to grab their leads, head outdoors, and participate in a month-long challenge with their beloved canine companions, all while generating crucial funds to support vital local hospice care services.

Flexible Participation for All Abilities

Running from March 1 to 31, 2024, participants can begin the challenge at any point during the month and complete it in a way that perfectly suits their lifestyle and ability. Whether walking, jogging, wheeling, or running, challengers have the option to complete either a 31-mile distance or take on this year's newly introduced, more ambitious 62-mile option. The primary goal is to enjoy quality outdoor time with furry friends while simultaneously raising essential donations for St Clare Hospice.

Inspiring Testimonials from Past Participants

Gary Albert, a resident from Epping who participated with his dog Buddy last year, shared his positive experience. 'When I heard about Paws for a Cause it felt like the perfect challenge for me and my dog,' he said. 'We're always out on long walks, so I thought, 'Let's go for it.' It was good fun and we managed to raise £345 for the hospice! I've always tried to support St Clare whenever I can, because the service they provide is second to none. I've seen this first hand when both a close friend and my father-in-law were cared for by them in the past.'
