The Big Friday Night Sleepover in Poynton has successfully raised more than £3,500 for the local homelessness charity, Emmaus South Manchester. This heartwarming community initiative saw a dedicated group of 11 fundraisers bed down for the night in the hall of St George's Church earlier this month, demonstrating solidarity and support for a crucial cause.
Organiser Reflects on Successful Fundraising Effort
David Artingstall, one of the participants and organisers of the event, expressed his gratitude and shared his experience. "It's been a pleasure to help Emmaus South Manchester organise the Sleepover in Poynton, which raised much-needed funds," he said. "We had some interesting chats with fellow participants, and it was well worth the 'uncomfortable night'. I would like to give thanks to all involved, especially those who took part and donated funds."
