Yorkshire 3 Peaks Mega Hospice Event Returns for 2026
Queenscourt Hospice has announced its participation in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Mega Hospice Event, set to take place on September 5, 2026. The challenge invites supporters to join nine other hospices to conquer Whernside, Ingleborough, and Pen-y-Ghent, covering 39 kilometres with over 1,700 metres of ascent in just 12 hours.
How to Join Team Queenscourt
Entry costs £30 per person, with a minimum sponsorship of £200. Participants will be supported by the Queenscourt team, with training tips and fundraising guidance provided. The event is open to all fitness levels, from experienced hikers to those seeking a new personal goal.
Samantha Nelson, community and challenge events fundraiser at Queenscourt, said: "We are delighted to be part of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Mega Hospice Event this year. Every step you take will help Queenscourt Hospice continue delivering exceptional compassionate care for local people living with life-limiting illnesses across West Lancashire, Southport and Formby. Our challenge events are a great way to try something new, stay active and achieve your goals, all whilst raising much-needed funds for Queenscourt."
Impact on Local Families
Funds raised will directly support Queenscourt Hospice's care for patients with life-limiting conditions. The hospice recently launched a recovery plan to secure its long-term future, and events like this are crucial for maintaining services.
Alternative Challenges Available
For those unable to join the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, Queenscourt offers a range of other challenge events throughout the year, including walks, runs, cycles, skydives, and custom fundraising activities. Every effort helps ensure the continuation of hospice care.
Sign-up details are available on the Queenscourt Hospice website, with early registration encouraged due to limited places.
