Redrow donates £32k to children's cancer charity

Housebuilder's Grand Gesture Supports Families in Crisis

A beloved children's cancer charity has received a significant financial boost after housebuilder Redrow Eastern presented a generous £32,000 donation to the Lennox Children's Cancer Fund. The substantial sum was raised during a vibrant charity gala evening that brought together subcontractors, partner agencies, and Redrow colleagues in a unified show of support for a cause that touches countless lives.

Gala Evening Fuels Fundraising Success

The fundraising event featured an engaging programme including a raffle, silent auctions, and a heads and tails auction game, all designed to raise both vital funds and awareness for the charity's crucial work. Guests enjoyed a three-course meal accompanied by live musical entertainment and a caricaturist, creating a memorable evening dedicated to supporting families navigating childhood cancer.

Jackie Coulthard, managing director at Redrow Eastern, emphasised the importance of the charity's work, stating: "Lennox Children's Cancer Fund provides a lifeline to families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. We're grateful to be able to contribute to their efforts to aid those affected in our community who are facing a cancer diagnosis."

Transforming Support into Practical Help

This generous donation will enable Lennox Children's Cancer Fund to continue its essential work providing financial, emotional, and practical support to families affected by childhood cancer. For over 30 years, the charity has played a crucial role in helping families by covering travel costs to hospital appointments, providing emotional counselling, and offering emergency grants during difficult times.

Lindsey Bidwell, relations and partnerships manager at Lennox Children's Cancer Fund, expressed profound gratitude for the support: "When a child is diagnosed with cancer, a whole family's world implodes. At Lennox Children's Cancer Fund, we provide a lifeline of emotional, financial, educational, and respite support, but we can only do this because of businesses like Redrow and their suppliers."

Beyond this significant contribution, Redrow Eastern continues to champion various local causes, having recently made donations of £1,500 each to St Luke's Hospice, Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, and Havens Hospice. The housebuilder has also announced the winners of its 2025 Community Fund, which awards grants totalling £12,000 to grassroots groups making a difference in their neighbourhoods.

Redrow Eastern currently offers a range of energy efficient homes across its developments in Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk, maintaining its commitment to building not just houses, but sustainable communities.
