Leicestershire's More4Paws Launches 'Santa Paws' Drive for RSPCA Woodside
Santa Paws Campaign Supports RSPCA Woodside Animal Centre

A heartwarming community initiative is spreading festive cheer for vulnerable animals in Leicestershire this December. The family-run pet care service, More4Paws, has officially launched its annual 'Santa Paws' Christmas campaign to gather essential donations for the RSPCA Woodside Animal Centre.

A Vital Lifeline Without Government Funding

Operating as part of the RSPCA Leicestershire Branch, Woodside Animal Centre performs a critical role in the region. Each year, its team rescues, rehabilitates, and finds new homes for hundreds of dogs, cats, and small animals. Many of these creatures arrive in a state of fear, neglect, or requiring urgent veterinary attention.

What makes Woodside's work particularly remarkable is its funding model. The centre receives no government funding and no financial support from the national RSPCA. Every single cost, from veterinary bills and food to providing warm bedding, is covered purely by donations from the local community and its supporters.

A Family Business Giving Back

For the team at More4Paws, which is run by Tim, Poppy, their daughter Ruby, and their Labrador Leo, supporting Woodside was a simple decision. Their business is deeply rooted in the local community, and they witness daily the profound bond between people and their pets.

"We just want every animal at Woodside to feel safe and cared for this Christmas," said Tim. "When you know they are receiving no government or national funding, it really shows how important community support is." Helping animals still waiting for their second chance felt like the most meaningful way for the family to give back during the festive season.

How the Santa Paws Campaign Works

The campaign will run throughout December, collecting much-needed items to bring comfort to the animals. The wish list includes:

  • Food and treats
  • Blankets and bedding
  • Toys
  • Other essential supplies

All donated goods will be delivered directly to the animal centre on December 22, ensuring the residents have a brighter Christmas. The campaign has already generated festive fun, with family Labrador Leo appointing himself 'Head of Christmas Security' to patrol the growing donation pile.

For those unable to donate physical items, a dedicated JustGiving page has been set up where monetary contributions go straight towards Woodside's vital work. With the community's help, More4Paws aims to make this festive period a little warmer for every animal awaiting a forever home.
