In an extraordinary display of courage and commitment, six fearless fundraisers recently took the plunge into a shark tank at Cheshire's Blue Planet aquarium to support a vital cerebral palsy charity.
Daring Divers Face Ocean Predators
The adventurous team submerged themselves in the aquarium's spectacular shark enclosure, coming face-to-face with magnificent marine creatures including 12-foot Sand Tiger Sharks, Blacktip Sharks, Nurse Sharks and Southern Stingrays. This unforgettable experience formed part of a fundraising challenge for Wallasey-based charity Stick 'n' Step.
Among the brave participants was Dave Williams, whose 12-year-old son Oliver regularly attends conductive education sessions at the charity's Wallasey centre. Dave was joined by Aaron Price from Regal Wholesale and four representatives from legal firm Bond Turner: Ying Tang, Carla Duprey, Megan Smith and Katey Yarwood.
Substantial Funds Raised for Vital Services
The shark dive has already generated more than £2,500 for Stick 'n' Step, with donations continuing to arrive. This significant contribution will directly support the charity's crucial work providing free weekly conductive education to children and young people with cerebral palsy.
Stick 'n' Step offers its specialised services to individuals up to 25 years old, supporting more than 100 families annually across its centres in Wallasey and Runcorn. The charity depends entirely on supporters and volunteers to meet its annual operating costs of £750,000.
