The profound effect of this community backing is vividly illustrated in the experience of families like that of Natalie (Nat) Sansom. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, Nat later developed secondary breast cancer and began receiving care from St Luke's Hospice in 2023.
Her husband, Chris Sansom, recounts: "Nat required regular treatments and IV infusions, initially travelling a considerable distance to a hospital every fortnight. After connecting with the team at St Luke's Hospice, her treatment was relocated there, significantly easing our daily lives."
