Swimmers Raise Over £1,900 for York Hospitals

Three dedicated swimmers took on the one-mile challenge at the iconic Great North Swim in Lake Windermere, collectively raising over £1,900 for York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity. The open water event saw participants embrace the challenge to support the charity’s mission of enhancing patient care and staff wellbeing across the trust.

Fundraising Success

The swimmers completed the demanding course, with their efforts translating into significant financial support. Natalie Marriott, events fundraiser for York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity, praised the participants: “We’re incredibly proud of our swimmers for taking on the Great North Swim this year. Completing a one-mile open water swim is a huge achievement, and to raise such a fantastic amount on top of that is incredible. Their support will make a real difference to patients, families and staff across our hospitals.”
