Police in the West Midlands have taken a significant number of vehicles off the roads following a targeted operation against uninsured and illegal drivers.

The force's traffic unit, WMP Traffic, confirmed the details of the operation on social media platform X. Their post highlighted the collaborative nature of the day's work, stating: "#RHPT on #OPSCALIS @DriveInsured today. Both teams deployed with 16 vehicles seized. A disqualified driver arrested and charged and a male arrested for immigration offences."
