Attempted Murder Arrests in Alum Rock

Three individuals have been taken into custody following reports of a street brawl in the early hours of Sunday morning. West Midlands Police responded to the junction of Cotterills Lane and Alum Rock Road in Alum Rock at approximately 2am on June 7.

A man was transported to the hospital with severe injuries to his head and body. Authorities have confirmed that the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Investigation Underway

Forensic officers in white protective suits were observed combing the area for evidence and photographing the scene. A white BMW was initially within a police cordon and later removed on a low loader.

Police have stated that three people are in custody on suspicion of attempted murder. All remain in custody as the investigation continues.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

A police spokesperson said: 'We were called to Cotterills Lane shortly after 2am today after reports of people fighting in the street. A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and three people were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.'

Officers will remain at the scene throughout the day to conduct inquiries and speak with witnesses. They are particularly keen to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the incident or captured it on camera.
