Bearwood Brawl: Three Hospitalized After Group Fight with Weapons
Three men are currently in hospital, with one suffering potentially serious injuries, following a violent group disorder that erupted on Bearwood Road last night. Police were alerted to the incident, which involved weapons, just before 6pm on February 11.
Arrests Made in Connection with the Incident
The men, aged between 19 and 30, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and will be questioned once they are medically fit. Additionally, a 42-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of wounding and is in custody for questioning.
West Midlands Police have confirmed that the road was closed during initial investigations but has since reopened. Officers are currently assessing CCTV footage recovered from the scene and know that a number of people were in the area at the time.
Police Appeal for Information and Footage
Authorities are urging anyone with information or mobile phone footage of the incident to come forward. Motorists with dashcam footage who were driving through the area at the time are of particular interest to the investigation.
To provide reassurance and visibility, West Midlands Police have increased their presence in Bearwood. At this stage, the disorder is being treated as an isolated incident.
