Police Hunt for Five After Birmingham Street Assault
West Midlands Police have launched a public appeal for information after a man and a woman were assaulted during a reported group disturbance in Birmingham. The incident occurred on Wheelers Lane in Billesley in the early hours of the morning.
Details of the Billesley Incident
The attack took place at around 1am on Wednesday, November 12. According to police, there were reports of a group causing disorder and anti-social behaviour at the location. During this unrest, the two victims were assaulted.
Paramedics attended the scene and treated both individuals for their injuries. Fortunately, a police statement confirmed that the injuries sustained were not life-changing.
Ongoing Investigation and Public Appeal
As part of their investigation, officers have released a CCTV image featuring five people they urgently wish to trace and speak to in connection with the assault. No arrests have been made at this stage, and police enquiries are continuing.
In an appeal issued on Sunday, November 23, a force spokesperson said: "We're carrying out a thorough investigation to establish what happened and have spoken to a number of people as part of our enquiries."
