A violent attacker is still evading police after a man was seriously stabbed in Birmingham city centre in a late-night assault.

Attack in the Early Hours

The incident occurred on Clement Street, near the Sand Pits area on the outskirts of the city centre. The victim was discovered with serious stab wounds at approximately 3:15 am on Sunday, November 2.

Emergency services, including West Midlands Ambulance Service and St John Ambulance, rushed to the scene. The man was treated for his injuries and transported to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.

Police Investigation Underway

West Midlands Police have confirmed that, over a week later, no arrests have been made and the perpetrator remains on the run. In a new statement, the force said there had been no update since their initial appeal for information.

A police spokesperson stated at the time: "We're investigating after a man was found with stab injuries near the junction of Clement Street and The Parade. We're reviewing CCTV as part of our enquiries to establish what happened and who was involved."

The road was sealed off for several hours as a major police operation unfolded. A dramatic scene was erected, with three police tents set up while officers carried out forensic and CCTV investigations.

Appeal for Witnesses

Authorities are actively seeking information from the public to track down the assailant. Police have asked anyone with information, including dashcam footage from the area around the time of the attack, to come forward.
