Early Hours Motorway Stop Leads to Discovery

At approximately 1am on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, officers from West Mercia Police pulled over a vehicle they deemed to be acting suspiciously. The stop occurred on the M54 near Junction 4, the Castlefarm Interchange, close to Telford.

Haul of Drugs, Cash and Scales Uncovered

Upon searching the car, police uncovered what they described as a significant quantity of illegal substances. The find included an estimated £600 to £800 worth of Class A drugs. Alongside the narcotics, officers also seized around £1,000 in cash and a set of scales, items commonly associated with the supply of drugs.

The driver, a 32-year-old man, was immediately arrested at the scene. He was taken into custody on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. As of Tuesday, December 30, he remains in police custody while investigations continue.
