Police have formally identified a young man who tragically lost his life following a violent incident in Leicester earlier this week. Khaleed Oladipo, aged 20, succumbed to his injuries in hospital on Tuesday, February 3rd.

The fatal stabbing occurred on Oxford Street in Leicester city centre. A post-mortem examination has confirmed that Mr Oladipo died as a result of a single stab wound to the chest. He was originally from London but was residing in Leicester while pursuing his studies.

Khaleed Oladipo was a dedicated student in his second year, studying cyber security at De Montfort University. His family have described him as a good boy who loved his family and was a source of immense pride. Beyond his academic pursuits, he was a passionate footballer, having played the sport since the age of four, and was a devoted Arsenal supporter.
In a heartfelt tribute, his family revealed they believe he was on his way home to watch a football match on the evening he was attacked. They expressed their profound grief, stating: "We cannot begin to put into words how sad we are to have lost Khaleed. He was an extremely loved son, brother, uncle, boyfriend and friend."
Ongoing Police Investigation
Leicestershire Police have confirmed that the investigation into Mr Oladipo's death is ongoing, with extensive enquiries being carried out. An 18-year-old male, arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident, remains in police custody.
Family Gratitude and Appeal for Justice
