Gruesome Discovery in Hollywood Hills

The body of a missing teenager has been discovered in a horrific state inside a vehicle registered to popular TikTok star and rapper D4vd. Celeste Rivas, aged 15, who had been missing for more than a year, was found dismembered in the trunk of a Tesla belonging to the musician.

The grim discovery occurred on September 8 in the Hollywood Hills area of California. According to investigative sources, the vehicle had been abandoned for approximately one month before authorities impounded it.

Disturbing Condition of Remains

Sources close to the investigation have revealed shocking details about the state of Celeste's body when it was discovered. The remains were described as "partially frozen" and showed signs of severe mutilation.

The medical examiner received the body in a decapitated state, with limbs removed and the remains cut into multiple pieces. The disfigurement was so extreme that investigators initially struggled to determine the victim's sex.

According to TMZ reports, the body had been dismembered and decapitated, presenting significant challenges for identification and examination.

Investigation Faces Obstacles

While detectives have classified the case as an "apparent homicide," the medical examiner's office is reportedly having difficulty establishing both the cause and manner of death. Sources indicate that it may ultimately be recorded as "undetermined."

Despite these challenges, the LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division continues to treat the case as a homicide and maintains that arrests can still be pursued regardless of the medical examiner's final determination.

Police sources told People magazine that investigators are working to determine whether Celeste's death resulted from murder or other circumstances. The closest approximation for the time of death has been narrowed down to springtime, though no more precise timeline has been established.

Suspect Under Scrutiny

D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has now been reportedly considered a suspect in the investigation. Sources indicate that the singer has not been cooperating with investigators, and police have yet to formally interview him.

The exact role that D4vd or any potential accomplices may have played in Celeste's death remains unclear. Following the discovery of the body, the singer cancelled the remaining dates of his tour.

This contrasts with statements from D4vd's representatives, who previously told NBC Los Angeles that he was "fully cooperating" with authorities.

On September 17, 2025, detectives from the Robbery-Homicide Division executed a search warrant on the 1300 block of Doheny Place in connection with Celeste's death. Several items of evidence were recovered and are currently undergoing analysis.

The LAPD has stated that this remains an ongoing investigation with multiple leads being pursued. Authorities have urged anyone with information to contact Robbery-Homicide Division at (213) 486-6890 or LA Crime Stoppers at (213) 484-6700.
