Three masked robbers armed with knives carried out a terrifying armed robbery at a Midland Post Office this morning, leaving one person with head and hand injuries before fleeing with cash.

Violent Incident at Wychbold Post Office

The robbery occurred at Wychbold Post Office located on Worcester Road in Droitwich at approximately 9:40 AM on Monday, April 20. According to West Mercia Police, three men wearing balaclavas entered the premises and threatened a victim with a knife, demanding access to the Post Office's safe.

The offenders, described by police as two black men and one white man, quickly left the scene after stealing money from the safe. One victim sustained injuries to his head and hand during the violent confrontation.

Police Launch Urgent Investigation

Detective Sergeant Lance Pritchard of West Mercia Police stated: "We're carrying out a number of enquiries following this serious incident and are urging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time to come forward."

The detective specifically appealed for witnesses who saw the three men entering or leaving the post office, or anyone who may have dash cam or CCTV footage from Worcester Road around 9:40 AM.

DS Pritchard emphasized: "Even the smallest detail could be vital to our investigation and identify those responsible."

A force spokesperson confirmed: "We're appealing for information after an armed robbery in Wychbold this morning, April 20. The offenders threatened a victim with a knife and demanded access to the safe. The group left the scene with cash taken from the safe."
