Police Statement

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: 'We are responding to a report of a fight involving weapons and have closed The Strand while we investigate. Officers were called following a report of a large group of people fighting in the area. Some of the men were described as holding metal bars and baseball bats. A cordon has been put in place and we are advising people to avoid the area.'
