Police Hunt for Flat-Capped Duo After Tamworth Burglary
Staffordshire Police have launched a public appeal for information, releasing CCTV images of two men distinctive for their Peaky Blinders-style flat caps. The force wishes to speak to the pair in connection with a house burglary in Tamworth.
Details of the Stonydelph Break-In
The incident occurred at a property on Deerhill in the Stonydelph area of Tamworth on the afternoon of Friday, 14 November 2025. According to police, the break-in took place between 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
Officers reported that two men forced entry into the house and conducted what was described as an untidy search of the premises. The offenders made off with a quantity of cash and a large amount of jewellery.
Description of the Suspects and Vehicle
Police have issued four CCTV images to help identify the men. Key details from the appeal include:
- First Man: Described as having grey hair, and seen wearing a dark blue jacket, light blue jeans, and black and white trainers.
- Second Man: Appears to have brown hair and was dressed in a brown jacket and trousers. In one image, he is seen wearing a scarf-style face covering.
Both individuals are white males, approximately 5ft 7in tall, and were notably wearing the Peaky Blinder-style flat caps.
Authorities are also keen to trace a blue BMW estate that was seen acting suspiciously in the area prior to the burglary. It is currently unclear if the vehicle is directly connected to the crime.
