A woman has died after being struck by a car outside a pub in Worcestershire.
Emergency Response at the Scene
The fatal incident occurred on Droitwich Road in Worcester, near The Bull Inn pub in Fernhill Heath, at approximately 5.50pm on Sunday, November 30. Emergency services were called to the scene following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched a significant number of resources to the location. These included two ambulances, a paramedic officer, and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car from Strensham.
Critical Condition and Advanced Life Support
Upon arrival, crews discovered the female pedestrian in a critical condition. Police officers who were already present had begun administering basic life support.
Ambulance staff immediately took over and began providing advanced life support. Despite the extensive efforts of all emergency personnel at the scene, the woman's injuries proved to be fatal.
It became apparent that nothing could be done to save her, and she was pronounced dead at the location.
Police Investigation Underway
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed the tragic outcome. The service has stated that the incident involved a car and a pedestrian, which sadly resulted in the woman being fatally injured.
