Police Appeal After Smethwick Shop Robbery

Police have issued a public appeal for information following a brazen daytime robbery at a shop in Smethwick, with one of the suspects reportedly armed with a knife.

CCTV Images Released in Investigation

The incident occurred at a store on Hales Lane in Smethwick at around 11am on Monday, 21 October. According to West Midlands Police, two men entered the premises, with one brandishing a knife during the ordeal. After taking a number of items, the pair fled the scene.

Following extensive CCTV enquiries, detectives have now released images of two men they are keen to identify and speak to in connection with the robbery. In the footage, one of the men is seen wearing a face covering, while both individuals have their hoods up.

Appeal for Public Assistance

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police stated: "Can you help us identify these men? We want to speak to them after a robbery in Smethwick. Two men, one of which was reportedly carrying a knife, took items from a store on Hales Lane, at 11am on 21 October, before making good their escape."

The force is urging anyone with information to come forward, emphasising that even though one suspect concealed his face, someone may recognise their clothing, gait, or other distinguishing features. The spokesperson added: "We know one of them has their face covered, but we would still like to hear from anyone who may recognise them."
