Police investigating an attempted grab of a woman by a knifeman in Cannock are appealing for a dog walker who may have witnessed the incident. The woman was walking on Shoal Hill Common near New Penkridge Road on Tuesday morning (June 29) when a man brandishing a blade approached and attempted to seize her. Staffordshire Police confirmed the woman escaped without injury.
Suspect Description
The suspect is described as Asian, approximately 6ft tall, of slim build, wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a black jumper, and white trainers. The incident occurred off New Penkridge Road, and police were alerted at 2.30pm the same day.
Potential Witness
Officers are trying to identify a dog walker believed to have been in the area at the time. The man is described as white, in his 60s, slim, clean-shaven, wearing a dark jacket and a brown or green flat cap. He was walking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a tanned coat. Police hope he can assist with enquiries.
