Detectives in Birmingham have released CCTV images of a man they wish to identify following a shooting and arson incident in the Washwood Heath area. The incident occurred on Ward End Park Road shortly after 2am on September 22 last year.
According to West Midlands Police, shots were fired at a property, and a car was deliberately set alight during the same incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Arrests and investigation
Two men, aged 26 and 32, were arrested in connection with the incident but have since been released with no further action taken against them. Police continue to investigate and are now appealing to the public for help in identifying a man captured on CCTV.
The man in the image is described as having short dark hair and a beard, and was wearing a black hoodie at the time of the incident.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We want to speak to this man after shots were fired at an address in Birmingham. We've been investigating after a car was set alight and a gun was discharged in Ward End Park Road, Washwood Heath.
"We've already arrested two men as part of our enquiries into the incident, which happened at just after 2am on 22 September last year. They have since been released with no further action.
"We've been carrying out a wide range of enquiries, and we're now releasing an image of this man we want to speak with. Thankfully, no-one was injured in this incident, but we know the impact of gun crime on our communities, and we're determined to establish who was involved."
