Wiltshire Police have provided a significant update following the tragic death of a woman in Swindon, confirming that a 13-year-old schoolgirl arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail.
Police Response to Disturbance
The investigation began when officers responded to reports of a disturbance inside a property on Baydon Close, Moredon, on Friday, November 21. Upon arrival, police discovered a woman in her 50s who was not breathing.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, nothing could be done to save the woman, and she was declared dead at the scene. The woman had been living at the address, and no other injuries were reported following the incident.

As part of their murder investigation, detectives arrested a 13-year-old girl on suspicion of murder in connection with the woman's death.
