Six men have been formally charged in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a young man from an address in Telford, with all defendants scheduled to appear before Shrewsbury Crown Court tomorrow.

The six individuals facing charges have been identified as Jawad Hussain, aged 20, of Windsor Road in Arleston; Shariq Raza, aged 20, of Span Meadow in Wellington; Haider Ali, aged 22, of Montgomery Road in Wellington; Ehteshan Hussain, aged 22, of John Broad Avenue in Arleston; Faheem Chohan, aged 23, of Windsor Road in Arleston; and Shayyan Hussain, aged 24, of John Broad Avenue in Arleston.

All six defendants initially appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on January 1, following their arrests. They are now due to be presented at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Thursday, January 29, to answer the kidnap charges brought against them.

Ongoing Police Investigation

In addition to the six charged men, West Mercia Police have confirmed that two other individuals, aged 29 and 51, were also arrested on suspicion of kidnap in relation to this case. These two men have been released on police bail pending further enquiries, indicating that the investigation remains active and may develop further.
