Armed raiders wielding crowbars stormed into a Stourbridge petrol station in a dramatic overnight burglary that led to a swift police response and one arrest.

The incident unfolded at approximately 1:10am on Monday, November 24 when multiple burglars forced their way into the filling station located on Hagley Road in Stourbridge. Witnesses reported the intruders were armed with crowbars as they entered the premises.
According to West Midlands Police, officers were immediately alerted to the break-in and launched an investigation. The burglars managed to flee the scene before police arrival, but their escape was short-lived.
Swift Police Response Leads to Arrest
Through rapid investigative work, officers identified a vehicle suspected to be connected to the crime. Approximately 90 minutes after the initial incident, at around 2:40am, police stopped the car near Dudley town centre.
The police operation resulted in the arrest of a 51-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated burglary. The suspect remains in police custody for questioning as investigations continue.
