'Beautiful' Teenager Found Dead in Oldbury Street

Emergency services discovered a seriously injured teenager on Park Street in Oldbury on November 5, a tragic incident that has left a community in mourning. Despite the immediate efforts of paramedics, 19-year-old Lily Whitehouse was pronounced dead at the scene.

Family's Heartbreaking Tribute

Lily's distraught family have released an emotional tribute through West Midlands Police, describing their profound loss. They said they are "devastated by what has happened to our Lily, the void left in our hearts will never be filled." Remembering their daughter, they added, "My beautiful girl Lily, your big brown eyes and your laughter could light up the world. You were so special. Nineteen years of love and laughter. Taken from us far too soon, in a way no heart should have to bear."

Police Investigation and Court Proceedings

Police believe Lily was hit by a vehicle on the nearby Old Park Lane. The investigation has moved quickly, resulting in a murder charge. Mohammed Azim, 41, has been charged with murder and has been remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court in December.
