A morning run turned into a terrifying ordeal for a man in his 30s after he was seriously injured by an unleashed dog at a popular beauty spot. The incident occurred at Earlswood Lakes near Solihull at approximately 9:40 am on Sunday, October 26.

Details of the Attack

The victim was jogging with a friend when a large, loose black dog, believed to be a German Shepherd, attacked him. The animal first bit the runner on the arm. As the man tried to get away, the dog gave chase and bit him a second time, resulting in a serious arm injury.

Alcester Police have emphasised the severity of the injury in their public appeal for information. The owner of the dog was present during the incident and spoke with the victim afterwards. However, they left the scene without providing any contact details, prompting the police to launch an investigation.

Ongoing Police Investigation

Officers from Alcester Police are actively working to trace the dog's owner. They are currently gathering CCTV footage from the area and attempting to identify the owner's vehicle via its registration plate.
