Woman sexually assaulted at Walsall Arboretum

An investigation is underway after a woman was sexually assaulted at Walsall Arboretum. The incident occurred along a trail path between Walsall Country Park and the Arboretum at around 4pm on Tuesday, June 23.

Victim and suspect details

The victim was walking on the trail when she was assaulted. She reported the incident to West Midlands Police, who searched the area and obtained a description of the attacker. The suspect is described as an older man, approximately 5ft 8ins tall, white, slim, with a slight pink tan tone. He has yellowy or brown teeth, blue eyes, and deep smile lines around his mouth. He also has short grey hair that is patchy, along with a short grey beard. He was wearing a t-shirt with a round neck, long trousers, and a light-weight jacket.

Police appeal for information

West Midlands Police stated: "We understand how concerning incidents of this nature can be and we’re working tirelessly on the investigation. We are appealing for witnesses to come forward and we’re particularly keen to hear from people who may have been in the location at the same time and who may have mobile footage to please contact us."
