Welsh National Tractor Road Run 2026: Scenic Llŷn Peninsula Route Announced

Preparations are advancing rapidly for the highly anticipated 2026 Welsh National Tractor Road Run, with this year's event set to take place on the picturesque Llŷn Peninsula. The run will commence from Llanbedrog, Pwllheli on Sunday, May 31, offering participants a unique and visually stunning experience.

Scenic Route and Charitable Support

The Llŷn and Eifionydd Tractor Enthusiasts have meticulously planned a scenic route that showcases breathtaking views over both Cardigan Bay and Caernarfon Bay. This year, the organizing team has chosen to support two important charities: the Wales Air Ambulance and the Alaw Cancer Ward at Ysbyty Gwynedd, which is part of the Awyr Las charity network.

Starting Venue: Crugan Farm

The starting point for the event is Crugan Farm, an idyllic coastal location just outside Llanbedrog, Pwllheli on the shores of Cardigan Bay. This working dairy farm features a long-established holiday park that accommodates touring caravans, glamping options, and holiday cottages. The farm has diversified its operations to include an onsite farm shop, selling fresh milk, milkshakes, gelato ice cream, and eggs produced on the premises.

A short walk through a field leads to a superb beach owned by the National Trust, renowned for its colourful beach huts. Nearby, the seaside village of Llanbedrog offers local amenities, including popular pubs such as the Glyn y Weddw Arms and The Ship, a beach bistro, an art gallery, a garage, a grocery shop, and a pharmacy.

Event Logistics and Entry Details

The dedicated start area at Crugan Farm provides ample parking for participants, including space for HGV vehicles with overnight parking available. Onsite facilities will include caterers and toilets to ensure a comfortable experience for all attendees.
