Kelly Osbourne: I'm A Celebrity is changing Jack for the better
Kelly Osbourne on Jack's jungle transformation

Kelly Osbourne has spoken emotionally about her brother Jack's journey on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, stating the show is transforming him into a "greater man" as the family marks their first birthday without their legendary father, Ozzy.

A Bittersweet Birthday and a Civic Honour

The Osbourne family gathered in Birmingham on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, for a poignant dual purpose. The day would have been rock icon Ozzy Osbourne's 77th birthday, but it also saw him posthumously awarded one of the city's highest civic honours, the Lord Mayor's Award.

The private ceremony took place at the Council House in Birmingham city centre. Ozzy passed away in July 2025, just weeks after his final performance at Villa Park Stadium. His daughter Kelly and wife Sharon were present to accept the award on his behalf.

Jack's Absence Felt on a Difficult Day

Speaking exclusively to BirminghamLive after the ceremony, Kelly opened up about the emotional challenge of the day, compounded by her brother Jack's absence as he competes in the I'm A Celebrity jungle in Australia.

"It's so hard not having Jack around," Kelly admitted. "I posted today on Instagram about how on today of all days, dad's birthday, when he's receiving an award, Jack isn’t here. I can't talk to him about how I'm feeling and I can't get a cuddle."

A Path Forward in the Jungle

Despite the pain of separation, Kelly believes her brother's participation in the hit ITV show has come at a crucial time. She sees it as a vital part of his healing process following their father's death.

"It's so difficult, but I know he's on his own path and I think this show came up at the right time so he can focus on moving forward, on himself," she explained. Kelly has been watching the programme intently and has observed a positive change. "I'm watching him become a greater and greater man every episode," she said proudly.

During the visit to Lord Mayor Coun Zafar Iqbal MBE's office, Kelly shared a deeply personal letter her father wrote on 1st July, just days before his final gig and three weeks before he died. In the heartfelt note, Ozzy shared his personal struggles, connected with the mayor, and expressed his profound gratitude to his hometown of Birmingham.

The Osbourne family's visit underscores the enduring bond between the global rock star and the city that shaped him, while highlighting a family navigating grief and finding strength in new beginnings.
