Two Birmingham Men Charged in Connection with Car Theft

West Midlands Police have announced that two men have been charged following a car theft incident in Birmingham, with one of the individuals scheduled to appear in court today.

Details of the Arrest and Charges

Officers from the Op Skybridge team arrested the two men on Tuesday, March 24, after reports of a vehicle being stolen from Dudley Road in Edgbaston around midday. Through investigative efforts by the Police’s Road Crime and Skybridge teams, a linked vehicle was stopped on Hallewell Road.

Anthony Thomas, a 48-year-old resident of West Heath Road in Birmingham, has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle. He was remanded in custody and is set to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today, Thursday, March 26.

Mohammed Hasib, a 22-year-old from Victoria Grove in Birmingham, has also been charged with theft of a motor vehicle. He will be appearing before magistrates next month.
