The spirit of Christmas is set to fill one of Britain's most breathtaking cathedrals, as Age UK Somerset announces its annual festive celebration. The local independent charity has confirmed its Christmas Carol Service will take place at the magnificent Wells Cathedral, offering a perfect opportunity for communities across Somerset to come together.
A Celebration of Community and Support
Sponsored for another year by the Somerset Care Group, the event promises to be a highlight of the county's festive calendar. Attendees can look forward to singing along to beloved Christmas carols, listening to traditional readings, and enjoying a special performance by the renowned Taunton Deane Male Voice Choir.
Phil Dolan, Chief Executive of Age UK Somerset, emphasised the importance of the event during what can be a difficult time of year for many. "Christmas should be a time of togetherness, but sadly, many older people in Somerset will face it alone," he said. "We are very grateful to the Somerset Care Group for their continued sponsorship which enables us to provide this wonderful and joyous opportunity for the community to get together."
