A "do not eat" warning has been issued for popular burgers sold across major UK supermarkets due to fears they contain plastic. GoodLife's Spicy Bean Burgers are being recalled from shelves at Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, and Ocado.
Recalled Batches and Details
The affected products have batch codes L6030 and L6031, with a use-by date of July 28, 2027. Before the recall, the four-pack sold for £3.35 at Waitrose and £3.50 on Ocado. Customers who purchased these items are urged not to eat them and to return them to the store for a full refund.
Customer Reviews
Despite the recall, the burgers had received positive feedback from shoppers. One reviewer said: "These are delicious but need to be cooked longer than advised to get a nice crisp outer shell which holds them together better." Another commented: "These are an amazing veggie burger! None of the usual soggy veg and instead have a lovely bean flavour with a slight kick." A third added: "This is the first time I have tried Goodlife spicy beanburgers and I will definitely be having them again." However, one noted: "These are a little on the thin side and I had to be careful not to break them after they'd baked; wish they were a little bit thicker."
